Authority,

One wallet. Four sovereign tones. Finished by hand, signed within the flap.
A house of one object,
refined without end.
We make a single wallet. We make it carefully.
Cut from veau box. Closed by a hand-cast seal. Finished in the room where it began.
Four chapters.
One object.
Cut.
Each panel is drawn from the calmest quadrant of a single hide, the place the animal never carried tension. The pattern is traced once, in silence, and the blade is set only when the leather has settled into the bench. Nothing is repeated.
Stitch.
A single waxed linen thread, drawn from the spool in one continuous length, closes the wallet in a saddle stitch pulled by two hands. The needle answers the awl; the leather answers the thread. Forty-two stitches, none of them visible from the front.
Press.
The medallion is sand-cast in lost-wax brass, filed by hand, and warmed to the temperature of the leather before it is set. Pressed under measured weight, it sinks until it belongs to the panel. No glue, no shortcut, only pressure and patience.
Finish.
Six coats of edge paint are laid down over two days, each one burnished with bone before the next is allowed near it. The flap is signed within in the craftsman's own hand, the medallion is polished once, and the wallet is rested in linen before it leaves the room.
